The sun room is finally painted!! AND Introducing Andrea!

THIS is the sun room.
The room that I've been painting for the past few weeks.
Yes, few weeks.
The weather kept changing from warm to cold. I could paint one day, then it would be a few days until I was able to paint again....ugh.
Plus, the room was an "add on", so one of the walls was vinyl siding.  Painting the grooves on siding is a royal pain in the buttocks. I got that word from Forrest Gump.

It's soooo much brighter in here since painting the walls white.
Once it stays warm in the evenings, I plan to add more plants in here.

I spend most of the summer out here.
I can watch the boats go by in the evenings without losing a pint of blood to the mosquitoes.
I even like sleeping in this room.

The best part.....it's my sanctuary.
I can come out here, and fellowship with the Lover of my soul.
Do you have a special place where you can go for prayer, peace, and quiet time?

I'd like to share another blog with you.
It's called The Rosses.
The author is Andrea.
She's a young mom of four children.
You can find her at sweetpeahead.blogspot.com.  Click on Andrea Ross on my side bar under Blogs to Follow.
I know Andrea's mom, Lisa. We all attended the same church for years, down-state.
Lisa said of Andrea's last post, "If Andrea wasn't already my daughter, I'd adopt her. She's my favorite blogger because she writes from her heart what other's think, but are sometimes afraid to give voice to".
I would love for Andrea to connect with other young mom's in the blogging community. If you are aware of other bloggers out there that you could direct her to....it would really be appreciated.
Andrea is a gifted writer, and a loving mother, who loves the Lord.  She has many talents to share with others in the blogging community.
Please stop by her blog, and say hello to Andrea.
Thank you.
Debbie

  2. Your sunroom is just gorgeous, Debbie! What a difference paint makes, even if it did give you a pain in the buttocks! (I can totally hear how Forrest Gump pronounced that word!!). And I also love all of your pretty wire treasures. I'll visit your friends blog tonight:)

  4. The sun room looks bright and cozy, a place I could relax with a cup of tea and a book. Ha, ha, I've used that same phrase from Forrest Gump!

  7. That sun porch would be my favorite room. I'd love to build that onto our lake house deck someday. I'd sleep out there in the summer too.

    Off to visit Andrea's blog!

  8. Every picture....so very beautiful. I had the most wonderful spot in our old home for my "sanctuary", but in our small retirement cottage, I find a corner...not always the same one. I look for sunshine...and sit there.
I tried to leave a comment on Andrea's blog, gut the word verification was so difficult...tried three times and would not accept. She does have a lovely blog.

  17. What an elegant looking sun room! The white paints and tones in everything make the place look absolutely divine. I really think you did a great job in styling and painting the whole room. The pictures you took of your lovely sunroom are all gorgeous. Thank you for sharing the inspiration.

  18. Don't you just love the clean look of a white-themed room? It produces a very relaxing vibe, and I can just imagine how dreamy it would be to lounge in that lovely room. Anyway, I'd love to see how those windows look without being covered by those curtains. In any case, good job with painting the walls white. The sun room looks amazing, Debbie! Thanks for sharing its beauty! All the best to you! :)
