Open wide the windows of our spirits and fill us full of light: open wide the door of our hearts that we may receive and entertain Thee with all the powers of our adoration.*Christina Rossetti.
There isn't a certain time we should set aside to talk about God.
God is part of our every waking moment.*Marva Collins.
When I'm visiting with my youngest daughter Melissa, and her husband Kevin, it's natural for us to talk about God most of the time we are together.
It's not intentional...it's just the normal conversation for us.
It's like that with prayer.
There is prayer before meals, and prayer before bed......and.....
Whenever there is a need, we feel free to sit down and start praying together....whenever, where ever.
Before Kayla's gymnastics meet, she and I sat in the bathroom and prayed together.
Romans 12:10 NKJV says....Be kindly affectionate to one another,...
fervent in spirit, serving the Lord:
rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer:
distributing to the needs of the saints,
given to hospitality.
After a while you are in constant communication, or fellowship with God, and you almost forget to pray. For me, anyway, devotion, and meditation time is different than fellowship time.
While driving downstate to see the kids, I can be talking to God just like I talk to the Mister.
Other times I might be praying about something in particular, or someone.
That is difficult to do while driving, because I can't really concentrate on what I am doing, and pray effectively...other than to shoot up a quick arrow prayer.
Prayer is an ordinary, everyday thing.
People who pray want to share a life with God...to love and be loved.
To speak and to listen.
To work and to be at rest in the presence of God.
If a care is too small to be turned into a prayer then it is too small to be made into a burden.
You will make your prayer to Him,
He will hear you.
Job 22:27 NKJV
When we call on God,
He bends down His ear to listen,
as a father bends down to listen to his little child.*Elizabeth Charles.
Our God is faithful.
Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.Psalms 119:105.
In His Love.
